Monthly Fee
Your monthly fee is always the same. With this approach, you will always know what to pay. Payment is due before the first lesson of the month. Non-payment results in cancellation of lesson. Set yourself a reminder, or pay months in advance if you like!
If you will miss a lesson, give me 48 hours notice and I will do my best to work with you to find a time to make it up. If I cancel a week, I will provide optional group activities with other students or homework and practice challenges for you to do at home. I teach 45 weeks a year, and normally we will not have lessons on federal holidays. I do not cancel for school vacations, snow days, or bad weather. If you cannot make it in person some weeks, a virtual lesson is always an option.
Other Policies
Included in your monthly fee is an annual recital, optional group activities, and your weekly lessons. Always assume that you have a lesson unless I specifically notify you otherwise. Snow days, bad weather, and even minor holidays may not mean that we cancel. Always feel free to call or text me if you want to confirm!
Students will buy their own music book, 3-ring binder, blank paper, pencils, and any other basic materials for their lessons. These items must be purchased by the second lesson and brought every week. I will provide other resources such as printouts, practice logs, and extra songs not included in the book.
Missed lessons will not be made up except in the case of a family emergency. Make sure to give me at least 48 hours notice when you know you will miss a lesson so that we can find a time to make it up. If you do not wish to make up your lesson, I still expect 48 hours notice except in the case of an emergency.
If you wish to discontinue lessons or change your lesson time, I ask that you finish the current month before ending your lesson time. Feel free to email, call, or text me if you have any questions!
